The ruins of a fortified Islamic medieval palace-city built in the 900s, much of Archaeological Ensemble of Madinat Al-Zahra has been excavated and restored, including aristocratic residences, public baths, a court complex, and a mosque. Begin with a visit to the museum to learn more about this ancient site with exhibits and an audio-visual presentation. Then head to the museum’s viewing platform for your first glimpse of the site. A bus will take you from the museum to the ruins. Several companies offer guided tours of the site, which should be booked in advance.   • Like all excavation, it requires imagination. They tell us that the rich Hall leads SIX years closed. Highlights: Museum video: you realize there has your little or much imagination - not to leave without seeing it - and in our case, the guide that we had: archaeologist converted to tourist guide (I guess that by necessity). This is a luxury, I hope that the City Council and other institutions know it rating, because I understand that it is not the only one.

  • Much remains to be done, but it is worth the visit. That Yes, with guide. Preferably go first thing in the morning, menis people and is more comfortable. Has interpretation centre
