  • Newly restored minaret, dating from the 10th century, served to call the faithful to prayer in the mosque to which it would be attached. They could have stretched a little more in the restoration.

  • Only vestige which remains of the mosque that Fernando III the Saint donated to the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem. The Minaret retains only the first body, and is from the model of Tower at corner of the mosques of barrio of the 10th century. The adjoining Church is the convent of the slaves of the sacred heart of Jesus.

  • Alminar de San Juan has an old minaret which is currently under repair and mostly covered up. It's part of the Iglesia de San Juan.  more »

  • Finally, the first phase of the restoration of the only minaret intact of Qurtuba has been completed; The rest of those who have survived the passage of time were so modified that it is difficult to ascribe them to emiral or Caliphal art. Therefore for its characteristics is unique! In The second phase it seems that it will be possible to visit its interior so you can ascend to the upper part to contemplate the city. A privilege certainly!!!

  • Beautiful tour under the Muslim era

  • Located in the square of the same name, this small tower, minaret of an old mosque, is worth seeing despite its simplicity. The decoration is simple, with blind windows twinned in its upper body, horseshoe arches, and reminiscent of an exhaustive Mudejar decoration in its intermediate body that unfortunately is very deteriorated. However, do not miss her both day and night, as her night lighting gives her an air of magnificent mystery and beauty. It can be reached from Barroso and Seville streets, and the effect to night light is impressive.

  • It is an Archaeological rest integrated in a building of the city (school). It is visited from the street where it is located.

  • One of the most beautiful cities I have visited in Spain. The fusion of the architectural styles that were given over time is fascinating. It's for walking. Like this construction that leaves you shocked. I really liked him.
