  • The place is gorgeous! Permeated with the spirit of history. Closing your eyes, you can easily travel back in the days of Don Quixote and imagine all possible scenes from the life of this period. Wind out there and really very strong and piercing. No wonder it is here and the legendary windmills were erected. Very impressed with the castle of Consuegra Castillo de la Muela. Although he and restoration, but visiting is allowed. History of the fortress begins with Norman period Consuegra, where fortified building was the scene of clashes between halifatami of Toledo and Cordoba. In the year 1090 Consuegra Castle fell into the hands of the Christian King Alfonso VI. Later the fortress was conquered by the Moors, but in 1147-m Alfonso VII restored ownership of Consuegra. Inside the Castle you can see the winding corridors, walkways, stairs, twisting in a quaint maze. You can say that he is the most neprestupnyj.

  • 12 windmills, it can be assumed that inspired Cervantes, and the Medieval Castle of Consuegra, are a true historical legacy of mankind. You can learn the operation of mills, which is surprising for its technology, and the history of Spain and La Mancha linked to the castle which was used as a fortress and that, while there are still restoration works, lets see its impressive heritage value. The view offered is simply spectacular; the local tourist office guides are very friendly and appropriate. It is definitely worth going to meet.
