  • Holy Thursday, we were just leaving a guided and very well, very nice guide, lots of stairs and worst of climbing so many stairs is that you carry a girl of 14 kilos, but what have the castles. Belongs to the Alba rented it is Government by a penny for 100 years in Exchange for its restoration and that it was for teaching, have the Institute of forestry. In the Tower, it was a little dangerous for children but you already put it under responsibility of parents.

  • On the outside is really nice although it is very restored, is not too much from the original. The walk we loved by the wall to the Castle, highly recommended.

  • The castle is great, there is an entrance fee very economic. You get the opportunity to walk around the castle but there is tour guide available.  more »

  • Beautiful Mudejar style castle, watch for the schedule since they close at lunch hours
  • This was a fabulous place to check out off the beaten path but well worth it!
  • Beautiful ruins and the cool thing is that you can walk through them
  • Don Alonso de Fonseca is one of my many great grandfathers. I think he is my 4th or 5th great grandfather. I'm looking for my relatives in Spain or Belgium David Fonsen is my great grand father. I would love to meet you and see the castle one day. I heard that it's really beautiful.
  • The first stop on a short castle tour you can take, this castle is right along the side of the road with lots of parking next to it. Since it is in a small town there are not that many people you have to complete with to take some stellar pictures. Tours are self guided and free or very cheap. from here there are several other great castles to visit if you keep driving east.
