  • Hard to get (for me, long journey to go), but worth the reward of that wonderful beach, and I will repeat.

  • In August, if you are fed up of being queued to get into a ' famous ' Island Beach, recommend a walk of 30 minutes under the Sun (wearing Hat) to reach this wonderful red sand beach with crystal clear water and little frequented. I emphasize that there is no bar, bathroom etc

  • Characteristic and little beach bar, probably because of the long journey to reach it. Located in the northern part of the island, after crossing a road in the countryside you will reach a small parking. From here walk through before the long pine forest beautiful with wonderful scents. And finally, we climb the rocks through a path down to the beach. The path is traced and cut into the rock, there are pseudo steps and some wooden handrail. Can be challenging for small children or the elderly. But certainly worth it. The Rocky area, you notice the effects of the tramontana on plants and especially trees. You will pass under this tree literally bent, whose photo became famous by being present on the lonely planet Guide. Finally, you get to the beach through a long wooden staircase. The beach is wide, surrounded by cliffs. There is absolutely nothing, so you have to bring water and food if you want to pause there. The sand is coarse and of color run bruno. The rocks around are reddish and resemble a Martian landscape. The contrast of these colors with the blue of the sea is beautiful. When I was blowing the tramontana so the sea was choppy, and despite all the colors were even brighter. At sea there were many small jellyfish, and it was explained to me that the whole island is surrounded during the summer, and in areas where the wind is blowing and the sea is rough, are pushed ashore by currents.

  • A very nice beach for its contrast of red and green in the mountains and sand with a transparent water and deep blue. It has to go carefully with the North wind as if there is wind, there are enough waves, but beautiful also.

  • Both the tour and the beach spectacular recommend greatly to visit it. It has the famous orange land that has multiple benefits for the skin but you should bring a bathing suit that can stain. There is no snack bar

  • A natural site, with a good ride to get there, a wonder of the North coast of Menorca.

  • Unlike the coves of the South, at the pillar we find thick, reddish sand. To access the Cove there are various ways but the most advisable is that part of the car park. They are 50-minute pleasant walk through a wooded area and in spring it is possible to go catching asparagus. The road part from Els Alocs is less interesting, has no shadow, and there is something dangerous sections. Coming to the beach, in a natural hollow in the ground there is a spring with a small shrine dedicated to the Virgin of Pilar where visitors tend to leave memories in the form of offerings. The Cala not be crowded by its remoteness but lacks any service and in summer there are to carry plenty of water. With the North wind is easy there are jellyfish which, together with a slope in the sand, can be discouraged the bathroom. In this case, it is best to think of any other option on the South coast. The wind is often strong and umbrellas may be sensitive so it should bring ropes to secure them to the floor because, otherwise, it is impossible to stand all day in the Sun. It is very common to see herds of feral goats which have occupied the surrounding hills. Clay baths are another activity typical of this zone although it is advisable to undress completely. Stains on the clothes won't be never. A heavenly place to hopefully be preserved so long.
