Cala Morell, Ciutadella
Categories: Landmarks, Tourist Spots
Sunbleached villas overlook a crystal clear cove and creek at Cala Morell. At this beach, find some of the clearest water in the Mediterranean, as well as concrete sunbathing areas for those who prefer to stay sand-free. An underwater spring at one end of the cove offers spectacular snorkeling and diving. From the beach, look up at a steep gorge made up of unique rock formations from two different geological eras. These walls are home to the Cala Morell Necropolis, a network of prehistoric manmade caves or hypogea, used as burial sites in ancient times. These are freely accessible on a hike through the pine-dotted hills rising above the beach. The area is free from large crowds, but there are a few bars and restaurants where you can stop for an ice cold beer. Plan to see Cala Morell and other attractions that appeal to you using our Ciutadella family vacation planner.

A lovely cove you are able to swim or snorkel without any distractions. There is a small cafe above where Manwel (from faulty towers) is happy to serve you a drink, but don't expect a smile also!
