Mountain
Explore the wild beauty and rugged terrain of Los Acantilados Marinos Mas Altos de La UE, home to some of the lushest landscapes in Europe. The oceanside cliffs are the highest in continental Europe, at more than 600 m (1,970 ft) above sea level. The area known as Herveira is considered to have one of the best views of the cliffs and sea. Visit the cliff-side sanctuary dedicated to St. Andrew, an apostle who is alleged to have been stranded on the rocky shoreline. Hike along the area’s miles of trails, which will take you through lush foliage, and keep your eyes open for herds of some of Europe’s rare groups of wild horses. Terrain can be steep, and therefore some trails are not recommended for those with mobility issues. • Of the most beautiful views we have seen... better than Scotland. You must see them without hesitation. You can also picnic and there are wild horses in the area

  • San Andrés de Teixido and its surroundings is a magical place. Outsiders pilgrimage to Santiago, but the Galicians are going to San Andrés de Teixido, where all gallego must go before dying, because "or non vai of morto, vivo vai", such as the Lord promised the Holy when it complained of the hidden place where is situated the sanctuary. There is a place in Galicia most shrouded in legends. Teixidó path can be several milladoiro (heaps of stones formed by those that have been leaving the pilgrims pass, thus freeing a soul in pain), groups of wild horses and incredible landscapes. Not to be missed.

  • Some of the cliffs are more high in Europe. Super quiet. You can isolate yourself if you like from the noise. The spectacular surroundings, breaking the silence, the neighing of the wild horses that there is loose everywhere. Worth visiting, even if it is an once in a lifetime.
