  • Went there today and the road is still closed. A bit disappointing as I thought it might had been finished. I didn't fancy the 2.5hr/8km trek to get there by foot, especially in the heat. The road has...  more »
  • You can, if you are agile enough, go inside the battery and climb right up into the western turret. BUT YOU MUST HAVE TORCHES. There are many holes in the floor and it would be easy to break a leg, es...  more »
  • We tried to go to the Bateria today but the road is closed about 7km short of the main car park. The sign says you can walk to the top but it is 2 hour 30 min. The sign said they were repairing the Ba...  more »

  • Road can be a bit tricky, but we'll worth the trip. The views are amazing.
  • This place is a bizarre mix of ruins, underground tunnels and beautifully restored castle. We loved exploring all the tunnels and secret bunkers. If i were to go again we'd take torches and some drinks as its remote with no toilet facilities. But well worth it for castle/ fort fans. Look out for the spooky man at the end of the tunnel.
  • Beautiful place. Amazon view. Must to se.
  • Absolutely spectacular battery with excellent views and wonderful history. Up a windy road with a bad surface, but well worth it. Ample parking facilities. Leave your car and walk half a kilometre to these well-preserved guns which overlook and protect the bay.
  • Great drive to get to it then fantastic views and loads of places to explore around this historic fort. Take a flashlight to enable you to discover all the tunnels and underground rooms there. Don't forget your camera.
