  • We came here after a visit to the Roman Theatre which had left me a little cold at the level of explanations; the forum found me very didactic (explanations, diagrams, videos) in a much smaller area and outdoor (though shaded). Found me a very interesting tour where you can see two distinct parts; the hot springs and an area with a religious character and celebrations since the 3RD century was undergoing modifications to adapt it to the needs of the different periods and that can be seen as the adaptation of a part of the terma to a kitchen and a bar serving hot food to customers.

  • Worth a visit of you are interested in Roman history. An English audio guide would be really welcome. Notice that part of the site is still a work in progress and it cannot be accessed.
  • “Disappointing” I thought this was a bit of a waste of time. The building remains are OK, there's some things of interest there, but there needs to be more to this kind of thing that just some old ruins to bring the history of the place to life. A guided tour, an audio tour, some videos showing what life was like....Something to help you understand better where you are and what it means. I felt they could do so much more with this place to make it an interesting visit.
  • Great place to learn about the city's Roman past. The set of baths, peristyle and serapeion-iseion (temple dedicated to Isis more complex banquet halls) is of the few preserved in the Iberian Peninsula.

  • Very well organized

  • Archaeological site located on the southern slope of the Hill of the windlass, in the urban centre of the city. In my opinion, the area of the Roman Forum and the Roman Theatre, with its Museum, are the two essential visits if you want to know the Roman Cartagena.
