  • Lovely place where I spent a couple of summers in my childhood, more than fifty years was already, and he kept fond memories. My surprise and joy has been that when I returned this summer I have seen certain places such as houses, buildings... and the beautiful river with its groves were as I remembered them. Its friendly people and its great gastronomy. To repeat.

  • Situated on the route of the Camino de Santiago, Santa María de el Camino Church is the oldest church in Carrión de los Condes Palencia city. It is built in Romanesque style in the 12TH century. For me the highlight of this monument is the porticoed facade of French influence with its porch and beautiful figures carved in stone at the top of the inning. Being located in one of the squares of the town allows you to observe it perfectly, in its entirety. It is highly recommended not to settle for the outside view and spend some time to visit the interior, it is worth. Greetings to all travelers.

  • We already have several years visiting Romanesque buildings throughout the peninsular territory, but if this is not your case, we invite you to visit both this church and the neighbouring Santiago, also on Carrion. We assure you that having done so already not you can spend long by anyone in this style factories scattered across the peninsula. Both the Church of Santiago and Santa Maria are "manual" buildings that constitute, both for its architectural wealth such as decorative, a perfect and almost unbeatable introduction to this style. Two factories that engage and seduce them.

  • Impressive considering its antiquity, but it could be more careful.

  • It seems that it has been very reformed. The best the South doorway.
