  • This old Roman site, as often happens in Spain with the heritage in general, is a penalty not be best preserved. They are supposed to vila de Materno mosaics of our country's best, but I guess that the cuts are not well preserved that should. The villa is at least stuffy, which some say that with those covers seems more like a warehouse, but I imagine that it is the best way that the remains are not damaged. The rest of the site is located in the open air (what little remains of the mausoleum and the palatial area). But of course this disaster is saved thanks to the people who work there, making that your visit will be a very special moment thanks to its proximity and their explanations.

  • The visit is guided, and it is very interesting. What I liked the most were his large mosaics and very well preserved.

  • After long time wanting to know this Archaeological Park, I could finally take my Thorn and know him. Surprised me greatly to find some mosaics of this size and quality in the middle of la sagra Toledo. They are probably of the most impressive we have in Spain. The park consists of 3 buildings that you can visit and the interpretation centre, where you put a video presentation, are explanatory models and you can enjoy some temporary exhibitions. We were lucky to bump us with a guide who kindly explained to us in detail the rooms. The truth is that the visit is well worth, especially if you like culture and mythology Roman (represented in the mosaics of the House of Maternus, the main building of the Park). However, I cannot help but be critical to see certain things. I dislike it quite see how in our country, where we have an important heritage and cultural wealth, we are terribly bad in marketing efforts (to make it) and almost worst yet in the care and maintenance of the same work. The Archaeological Park of Carranque is a clear example of this. A unique place in Spain with a very high historical value and gives the impression of being mounted hastily and improvised way. I am aware that to be 1,400 years old ruins, these will not be in perfect condition. However, I think that many times both the content and the continent. The House of maternal this within a ship that is more like a straw dryer. Something HORRIBLE that left enough charm to the place. In any other country in Europe the regional and national Governments would have done important work conditioning (and even reconstruction) for the enjoyment of the people. I hope to go back and see that this "solar with Roman ruins" has become an archaeological Park of truth.

  • Amazing ruins and mosaics from a 4th century Roman villa, definitely worth a visit.
  • Part of our historical heritage, of great beauty, well preserved and unknown to most. It is worth visiting it and with the guided tour can enjoy much more. Educational activities for children, ideal for visiting family. A few minutes from the Centre of Madrid. Its mosaics are as important as the Bardo (Tunis).

  • I recommend a visit to this archaeological site because of the good condition of the same. We couldn't do the guided tour because of problems with the schedules. It's a shame because you lose better place you visit. Presented a video interesting but outdated, as they themselves recognize due to subsequent research. The rest of the visit travel facilities and read the signs and guide. It would be necessary to change the signs that by the Sun and the weather deteriorate.

  • Probably the best preserved Roman mosaics in Spain. In addition to the site, it consists of a small museum and projection room where an explanatory documentary exhibit. The tour is very well prepared.

  • The site well, but the staff quite pasota. Not told us anything about the possibility of buying a guided tour that is worth much because inside there is virtually no information. Nor did offer audio guides (I don't know if they exist). We are left wanting to know more and at the end of the visit we saw a group with guide, but they did not let us listen to it. A penalty. But we really liked the performance of the "Gladiators". The guys curraron it is and our children were fascinated.
