  • Access is along a forest track about 8 km. and that in the final stretch this very careless, visit 4/6 euros, is interesting to see a castle from the 11TH century and restored in the 19TH, the evolution of the castle through time and the last restoration. A good option is to go to enjoy a good meal the cantina, located approximately 2 km away.

  • The location of the castle is spectacular. It is reached by a forest track by car or on foot. I've been several times and I've uploaded walk once. Worth the visit to the Castle, during the year open only Saturdays and Sundays in August every day. The castle is soon restored and by the complexity of the construction and history is little played, little restored, I would like to as well, why these sites sometimes lose authenticity. While it cannot fall, it's okay. There is a higher fraction that cannot be visited because it still contains some furniture and not enough surveillance infrastructure to visit it. There your stag or hen party held the son of Caroline of Monaco, arriving with his friends on horseback. The reception Lady for the event to will have to you. There is a restaurant a little further up, and hike down the mountain and forests of beeches also worthwhile.

  • Des that I have use of reason that had wanted to visit Castell de Requesens, small castell de L'albera that until recently was almost only known by the people of the contrada and those who have relatives in the area. Years ago many people almost despised this castle of medieval origin and some locals even said that the castle had no value why almost all was built between the 19th century and the 20th century by the comte de Peralada, since before it was just a ruin. Well, the castle is of medieval origin, I was built in the feudamismo of the XI century and from the 16TH century it remained abandoned until Tomás de Rocaberti, the comte de Peralada, decided to restore it to turn it into a summer residence (as most medievals castells of Catalonia). The reconstruction was important but after the looting that suffered during the war and its hospital military, reconstruction only walls but not furniture or decoration. To access the Castle, the most practical is to do it in car des cantallops, a village near la Jonquera. From Catallops there is a way (some sites dien is a forest track which isn't or dreams, path and thanks) for private vehicles (less sports or low cars) that leads to the castle in a 12-minute ride. More or less in the middle of the journey can be a stopover, the views (the Bay of Roses seen) and see about how many dolmens something sections. To continue must be open and let a gate closed (there are cows and they could leave the farm) and with just a few minutes you get to the restaurant or the Castell. The castle can be visited with 1 hour and although it seems quite small it is very rambling, has many rooms spread over several areas and this makes the visit much more charm than expected. It can pay more for guided tours and although we would have liked to do it with guide, we visit the castle of improvist and it was not possible. Inside the castle there is information but assured that is not the same. During the visit, you have the feeling that the castle was prepared so that enough people habitasen it, since that part of the residential area dels comtes de Peralada, there are many rooms that had to be designed to service or invitasos. Stables, towers, bastions, walls, walls, walks round, Chapel, ponds, patio... all dependencies that more or less one expects to find in a medieval castle and makes you relive the life of small Lords who lived in his Castle away from the urban centres. The visit is worthwhile, although it doesn't impress and Castle still is also not completely conditioned to be visited. There are some rooms and towers which can not be accessed, for services there is a toilet in the middle of a room which gives to a stairs and "door" has a curtain, etc. This is Yes, ideal for kids to watch a small medieval castle. With time, it has to be nice to stroll through the area and enjoy a little more than the landscape. To eat there is restaurant nearby and a few kilometres from Cantellops, there is la Jonquera with commercial and local centres of restoration.
