  • A phrase that said several people living in Canfranc was: "We have two stations in Canfranc, the winter and the train" of winter, because you have a few hours of Sun in the municipality to be between the mountains and the other spectacular train station. Is ENORMOUS, WITH ITS 365 WINDOWS, 75 DOORS IN EVERY ONE OF ITS SIDES, 241m IN LENGTH and a history of spy, gold in Germany, Jews,... very, very interesting. The station was inaugurated by the King Alfonso 18TH and by French President Gaston Doumergue. The sentence of Alfonso XIII when opened «The Pyrenees will no longer exist more» La station of Canfranc has two distinct parts, one on each side of the building. One corresponds to the Spanish way and another French tracks. They had to do so because Spain and France had different widths of via. Connections with France ended in 1970 because a freight train derailed in the French part which caused the collapse of the bridge of ´Estanguet. IS MANDATORY DURING THE VISITS GUIDED THE USE OF HELMET, BY BE IN WORKS OF RESTORATION the Government of Aragon purchased in January 2013 station to the Ministry of public works for €310.000. The entrance to see are € 3 which are intended for the rehabilitation of the station. Expected that this finished for the 2021.Me would love to go back to see it in all its glory.
