Inspirock Rating:
4.5/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web
Take a guided tour of cave chambers with crystal-clear pools for floors and stalagmite-decorated ceilings at Coves de Campanet. The chambers bear seductive names, such as the "Romantic Chamber" and "The Castle," which befit the natural opulence of the formations. The chambers are spread across a 3,200 sq m (34,445 sq ft) area and reach a depth of 50 m (164 ft). The tour makes a pleasant retreat from the heat in Serra de Tramutana. • We have already visited some caves, it is located in the midfield. The facility is very nice, also the shady terrace invites you to linger. The cave has been discovered quite late (1945) and touristically developed since 1948. The Guide lasts 45 minutes. Unfortunately, our leadership (such as the lead before that) was much too full with over 50 visitors (including a larger number of infants). The guide told a lot about the history and geology in a friendly way. Unfortunately the special a cave tour lost when this visitor mass processing. Also, the guide in German and English took place, so that one half of the visitors caused more unrest. At this mass, a guide has also no overview, whether visitors (illegally) photograph or do worse - what can be seen from the many broken stalactites. The guides would have to be performed in smaller groups and each language. Also a photo permission there should be for the amount of the admission fee. It is positive to mention that cheesy light or music shows will be held in this cave.

  • This is one of the best caves I've ever been to. The guide spoke really good English and German and gave us a really good tour. It was fairly quite when we went so that probably gave us a better exper...  read more »
  • We were on the 9.10 in the cave with our two kids (4 + 6). It was quite interesting for the children. However, we found the entrance some überrissen...vorallem for the kids at this age. Are we used, that entry is usually only requires 6 :-). Trip is a good bad weather program.

  • Tour guide was lovely and great with kids, fluent in Spanish, English and German. The coves were stunning, a must see! Really well explained how they formed and the history of it. Also, the gift shop was lovely and much cheaper compared to other tourist attractions🤗
  • Lovely and quiet museum. Tour guides speak at least 4 languages and are very informative. There is also a lovely cafe with a veranda and a nice district view.
  • I would urge you to give these a go in addition to the more famous Caves of Drach. While they are smaller, you get a lot more information and a guided tour as part of a smaller group - so you really feel like you are exploring them. The Coves are situated outside the town of Campanet - it was about an hours walk for us from the bus stop there, but if you had a car you could reach it more easily. There was a cafe and shop.
  • Great caves, so close to the surface
  • Wonderful tour guide who didn't rush our group through the fascinating formations in the caves. Great that only white light used whilst in there - shows the colouration. Really enjoyed visit.
