Coves de Campanet, Campanet

#4 of 23 in Nature in Majorca
Take a guided tour of cave chambers with crystal-clear pools for floors and stalagmite-decorated ceilings at Coves de Campanet. The chambers bear seductive names, such as the "Romantic Chamber" and "The Castle," which befit the natural opulence of the formations. The chambers are spread across a 3,200 sq m (34,445 sq ft) area and reach a depth of 50 m (164 ft). The tour makes a pleasant retreat from the heat in Serra de Tramutana. • The whole experience was pretty good. We visited the caves during high season at the end of the day (17:30). We had to wait for 15 minutes for the tour to start. Not crowded at all. Big disappointment...  more »
  • Had to wait nearly 50 minutes before we could enter the caves. The tour was incredibly boring. We were told we could not take any photos or video of the caves. This really should be pointed out before...  more »
  • We arrived at 12 noon, the queue for tickets was 20 mins long. Didn't mind this as thought we would then go through to the caves. We brought tickets and were then told to wait in another area and we w...  more »
  • 40m to 1h tour of caves for €15 each adult. Beautiful, well lit though perhaps not spectacular caves full of stalactites and stalagmites, with path winding through several areas. Informative guide spoke in Spanish then English. Pleasant café but didn't stay as no gluten-free options to speak of. Definitely worth a visit.
  • Wonderful caves, filled with stalactites and stalagmites. A real spectacle. Very good guided tour as well. Recommendable!
  • The caves themselves are very interesting and accessable, the tour guide had the facts but it all felt a bit disorganised, we were split into English and German language groups but they all got mixed up and there was a lot of hanging about not really knowing what was going on. We were surprised to learn that adult charges were applied from age 13 upwards, €15 for adults €8 for children under 13. Our family of four became €53, 3 adults and 1 child. You might think I am having a moan about the cost but this the same price as Coves El Drach which are bigger, offer more of a guided tour including an underground classical music performance and cave boat trip. If these are the only caves you visit when in Mallorca then they are worth it, but if you want better value, Coves El Drach are the ones for you
  • Great place to stop. V friendly. Good food.
  • Guided tours only and a 1 hour wait for the next entrance. Staff we're friendly and the place was really interesting.
