  • November 23 we could carry out the visit to the winery, we were served by Paula who also had been in contact with me since long before always very attentive, the explanation was unbelievable I know many things unknown, the guide was excellent Paula is a girl super good vibe, attentive and passionate about their work. Is an experience that is worth the penalty for those lovers of the Albariño. Thanks a lot. Dahize

  • The Bodega Malik Codax for some time was on my radar. Is located in the town of Cambados. While there, take a cab to the winery. Will come out about seven euros. Select the visit through the website or by phone, the time has to happen. The visit is very good and informative. We went through a few rooms, where we learned above all analyze and know a wine, through the smells and taste buds. We know the history of the winery, the production, the cultivation, the local grapes and, above all, know the wines of the winery. The tasting is done on the terrace of the winery with an incredible view. That alone would be worth the ride. There, the ride is 10 euros per person. It's a very good tasting. Anyway, it's a ride for those who enjoy wine! In fact, he's pretty cool, especially for the quality of the guide that led me and the quality of the wines produced in the winery. In the end, you pass the gift shop of the bodega and can acquire some wines at very good prices. I even bought a couple of wines from Martin Codax, and liked it, especially the Lias. In addition, the winery has a very large cultural concern, by encouraging the production and local artists. In fact, during the year she does jazz concerts in the late afternoon, with wine tasting. Has boat trips, with wine tasting and had, so you can have an idea, an exhibition of a local artist, with his sculptures inside the winery. That, to me, makes the difference. So, don't think twice: include the Martin Codax in your script. Albarinos wines are very good. And the prices that reach for us here in Brazil are very expensive.

  • A winery that was founded in 1986 as a cooperative formed by about fifty winemakers and which today are already almost 300, with rigorous control over all the grape coming there confirming that is Albariño. A grape native Galicia and North of Portugal, white, rather small. An explanation of the different designations of origin that exist in Galicia: Ribeiro, Ribeira Sacra, Monterei, Valdeorras and Rias Baixas, which is to which you belong Martín Códax; an introduction to climate and topography and a presentation of Albariño grape vines and its cultivation put you quickly in situation before moving on to see the wine. A dynamic visit, where you can visit the so-called room of the senses. A suggestive name for a space that helps to identify the most characteristic aromas to be able to recognize them in the wines that you enjoy or colors and most common shades. Another open space in which works of art, are traveling way houses some of its most emblematic bottles, of wine and pomace and which also finds the origin of the label Martín Códax Albariño a Galician Troubadour who pay homage. We also passed by deposits, some barrels, and the rest of the facilities which you can see and which are of interest to finally get to the room where you can enjoy a tasting led by someone from the team of wine of the winery. In this way we complement the visit. Worth visiting them, so you can learn watching and tasting their wines
