  • Calahorra, the second population of all it Rioja, is is to a side of it route in the tourist that goes of Zaragoza to Logroño, but is worth it penalty make a stop, of some hours although is, in this city that had an importance outstanding in others times, from the religious (headquarters of the diocese) to economic. Santa Maria, at the entrance to the town, is good evidence of this.

  • Cathedral of free access which is surprising. Reminiscent of the great Spanish cathedrals due to its size and the inner wealth in places like stalls. Would be interesting that is carried out visits guided with more frequency to boost its interior.

  • Highlights an ashlar of the 16th with no less than 85 seats of very good and crowned carvings of a original way to a ledge with so many sculptures of size around 60-70 cms. Over it a body typical of large proportions and crowned by a sculpture of San Miguel Arcángel fantastic. Thirteen sculptures in Alabaster in lathe to the choir stalls and the apse has impressed me also. And no less than thirteen chapels of considerable proportions and rich altarpieces, one of them of alabaster and the wealth of the majority of the shares of these chapels. By pointing out the negative that unfortunately both is given, buildings of terraced houses, which practically eat all of the value of the building exterior.
