  • Worth climb to the top, by stair, to see spectacular views of the city. Was one of many watchtowers built in the city, to keep watch for pirates during the 18th century. Also houses a camera obscura, ...  more »
  • The tower is not so easy to find in the narrow streets of Cadiz, one blocking the view. The view from the top offers a 360 ° panoramic view of Cádiz, the Bay, the sea, the new bridge, Harbour etc. On the floor below is a show with a "Camera obscura" where the city of Cádiz will be shown shown, on the basis of a mirror projection in a darkened room from above (virtual tour). Very nice, but nothing spectacular.

  • Once at the top you have a good view of the city. This is however also not better than out of the Cathedral. We felt treated by the Lady at the cash register as visitors of second class. Spanish-speaking visitors were given the opportunity equal to the next demonstration of Camera Obscura us to book... was only a demonstration TWO HOURS later offered. According to an earlier time slot she not entered on our express request. Because we had back to the cruise ship, we could wait not two hours. Supposedly, there's also no discount for the handicapped with accompanying person. Free admission is international practice for the accompanying person (as it has been practiced in the Cathedral). At the end, we have paid five euros each. Only for the climbing of the Tower without Camera Obscura, I would recommend this to anybody and not again make it. Other visitors who came after us, received access to much earlier performances than the US offered. I had thought about me when the Lady at the box office yet again to äußern...wollte me spoil the beautiful vacation day with unpleasant discussions. I've really still nowhere as a two-tier society. What a pity!

  • Great views over the city. Also camera obscura is fascinating, even though it's very simple setup - it's still a little wonder.
  • How not to mention that it's probably one of the main reasons many people go into the city old center of Cadiz. Not only you'll enjoy a wonderful, panoramical view, but it is overall a place with an important history over the last centuries, when Cadiz was a major harbour. Very interesting to learn about the dark-room concept and mirror reflection. Of course the guide will make you experiment it. More than worth it: a must see!
  • Nice views from the rooftop. The black-room concept is interesting and I recommend it because you quicky see the main spots to visit in Cadiz. Must say that the black-room guide just speaks Spanish and English
  • Great view, interesting explanations and a very kind staff!
  • Very nice to see 'all' of Cádiz through the camera obscura and climb the tower.
