  • We visited the San Antonio church in the Plaza De San Antonio and was very pleased. The church from the outside is so architecturally beautiful, but when you get inside and see all of the huge statues...  more »

  • The church dedicated to San Antonio de Padua is located in the homonymous square and stands out for its facade with 2 high towers, which give a special character to the Church. It is a church of the 17TH century, which was remodeled several times and especially in the 19th century, epoch which comes from the current facade. The interior is sober, with one beautiful altar, also of the 19th century, made in wood imitation marble, that highlights the image of the Virgin of the sponsorship in the Centre, and of S. Antonio of Padua and S. Francisco de Paula on the sides. The Church is worth visiting; It is very well both on the outside and inside. And the square is the most noteworthy of Cadiz, by its size, and for having been the place of proclamation of the Constitution of 1812. Also is a square very harmonic, in which is placed other buildings interesting as the Casino Cadiz, with curious decoration inside neo-Mudéjar; the former banking Aramburu, with beautiful facade; and the House where he lived the poet and playwright from Cádiz, José María Pemán.

  • Beautiful parish that decorates and gives color to the square that takes its name.

  • A place so full of history and stories that captivates with its mysteries, its secrets and habits is rather shy and quiet. It is a quiet community as if they lived isolated from the maelstrom of the world
