  • I met this Winery by the inclusion of a list of ABC of a wine of them. Among the 10 best wines Spanish underneath from 30 euros, including white, red and rosé, list called "song of the Blackbird". My surprise was to see that it was the Granada Alpujarras area, place where was not aware that good wines were made. I bought 6 bottles and when I opened it, note the alpujarras field. A round wine, which serve to take single or accompanying any dish. I'm not an expert, but worth the view of the experts who made the list of ABC. The story of this man is great, abandons all 84 and comes to this area away from the world for raising wine, in a place where no longer cultivate the vine made several decades because of phylloxera, that ended with all. He calls his natural wines. And it is already doing for school. Says that the famous wines of the sierra norte of Seville, learned of the. MASTER. An excellent evening with you, you're a great person, and deserve a bake pan position in this world of wines. Pity that the Andalusian authorities anden as clueless, because people like you in Andalusia need us on a large scale. Creative, innovative and entrepreneurial. An area where not born nor a peregil, has become it a source of immense richness, creating one of the best wines of Spain. There is nothing.

  • Barranco Oscuro is a small Winery in Cadiar, at the Centre of what has for decades been a wine producing area of low quality, intended for distillation to produce alcohol from send to Jerez to fortify the famous sherry. The founder, Manuel Valenzuela, pioneer and innovator and at the same time defender of local traditions has started a process in the 1980s, which continues today with his son Lorenzo, aimed at the development of the area by changing the methods of planting vineyards to prefer quality rather than quantity, high-altitude terrain speriemtando international vines but especially by recovering local varieties that had all but disappeared. Today is one of the landmarks of what now has become an emerging wine area. "Green" wines without intervening in the countryside with agrochemicals, also favored by the perfect microclimate in which they dwell their vineyards, between 1300 and 1400 meters above sea level. In the cellar minimum physical interventions only to accompany the grapes in the path that will lead her to become wine, no product like wine yeasts and lactic acid bacteria and no added sulfur dioxide, not even bottled better take gather to arrange a visit and enjoy the wonderful hospitality of the family, without a driver don't drink the way back could present some difficulty!

  • Barranco Oscuro is in the lead of any Grenadine winery known to me. Ferocious, subtle, imaginative wines of great ageing potential - and this is without a single ppm of sulphur added. I cannot recommend a trip to the beautiful Contraviesa range for a visit at the bodega enough. The place and the wines are a true revelation for any winelover.
  • Manuel is in love with his work, and an artist. The excellent product. It's not cheap, it's fair.
