  • Highlight the beautiful battlemented Tower 25 m height. It is a joy to raise and admire the views from it, as well as help you to imagine what life was like in the 15th and 16th centuries. At the moment it cannot be visited, but will reform and soon you will be able to enjoy this wonder. It is the only Tower of his time which is preserved intact, without cutting, without curtailing or as stated at the time without "desmochar", keeping its height and battlements. Cáceres retains many palaces, but nearly all have desmochadas defensive towers that had (several had some houses/fortress. There is another that has a spectacular Tower battlements (Palace Herguijuelas of above), but is of construction later. Cáceres retains a spectacular medieval monumental set I would say without equal, the penalty is that great heritage only accessible at the moment a very small part of it. The day that expands access to its extensive heritage is a unique city.
