Museo de Caceres, Caceres

(4.4/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web)
Housed inside two historic buildings, the archaeological and ethnological displays at Museo de Caceres are tucked into the natural alcoves of the original architecture. The artifacts are spread between two floors and accompanied by both Spanish and English descriptions. Begin on the top floor and work your way down to the main attraction: the cistern. You'll have to cross the courtyard to reach some of the exhibits, including the fine art rooms, where examples of early art hang from the stone walls. • The provincial Museum is an old Arab House. It has collections of the first inhabitants of Cáceres: jewellery, tools,... The most important thing is the water tank, which is the second largest in Europe. For back sales to gardens that communicate with the Casa de los Caballos, where the collection of paintings. If you go with baby cart: you have to leave it at the entrance and then the security guard did not allow us to turn to the Museum. Goes down another Street, and we had to return to pick it up. A very unpleasant detail that marred our visit.
