  • Crowning a high, on the top of the Río Duratón, is this wonder of Romanesque architecture. To access it, is must reach Villaseca and thence through a rural road about five km. access to a parking lot, where has to leave the vehicle that has been there. Then, we must walk approximately one or two km. The way to reach it is down, so you have to take into account that the turn is almost all uphill. During the whole journey on foot, they can enjoy wonderful views, some steep about a hundred meters, also a lot of vultures that exist in those areas. It is a truly spectacular space. From the road you can see the Hermitage and the beauty of the whole. The Hermitage when we went was closed, but maintains a window in the door, which remains open and the interior can be seen through it. It keeps to its around ruins that are in good condition and that give an idea of the life that the monks there were. Behind it there is a small cemetery where the graves of the monks are. Of course it is something unique that is worth visiting.

  • It is an indispensable place of our geography. It is worth going without a doubt. It is true that it is not easy to get to, but once there don't you regret

  • Amazing views of the river and mountains. There is a small chapel in the ruins. A short walk from the carpark
  • Great views of the cliffs and lots of eagles flying around in their natural habitat
  • Riding a few kilometers on the unsurfaced road is worth visiting this place!
  • The view of the Ermita from the view point is really dramatic, well worth the annoyance of driving several kilometers on an unpaved road.
  • It is an enclave in the Hoces del Duratón. For those who do not want to (or can't) give walks, but yes to reach a place with amazing views, is ideal. There is an area where you can leave the car and accessed by a very comfortable way to the chapel. The sunset is amazing, but for photos of the Gorges that time best to find another orientation already will be backlit. It is surprising that this place is less than 1 hour from Madrid.
