This museum that no attention from the street, is a big surprise. You have three rooms different, not very big but very interesting exhibitions. From the market of the whale hunt that existed in those seas, the canning history in the area of Bueu, Cangas. In addition, many objects with enough history are exposed. Ideal for one rainy afternoons any time that do not allow going to the beach.

This small museum is very interesting and a surprise in the middle of the village. It is related to the industry of the area, sailing and whale hunting. Many curious things are learned and it makes you reflect on the change in the production and in the mentality of the care and protection of the environment. I hope people stop hunting whales in the world.

Bueu in addition to good food, beaches, natural wealth (cabo udra), has this wonderful free Museum. Masso was an important family in the area with several factories, cultural heritage, etc for more than 100 years, which had factories of canned, whaling, employers of an infinite number of men and women on Earth in the sea which were towns of Cangas and Bueu at your own pace, with their own houses for employees, schools, stores... At the end of the 80s, among other reasons for the boom in frozen foods ended its economic activity taking charge of debt by municipalities staying back with their heritage. Where he was part of the factory and the first secular salted fish that also can be part of this history, this Museum of free admission, in a first room different types of cans that manufactured parts of whalers and utilities that were given at the time the whale along the years, autoclaves, antique pieces of a dispensary and at the end (I get to have up to 7-8 factories). In the second room different parts and models of fishing gear, and the remains of a singular, typical vessel of bueu, used to catch Octopus. On the top floor from incunabula and various equipment used in navigation etc... It will be especially striking for the foreign people in the place.
