  • The Tower of the parish of the assumption of our Lady on the maze that is the old town of Bocairent, with a spectacular view from its peculiar main square stands out. But already, at least three gems await us, as well as the colossal ship of the Church itself: 1) the baptismal font which was source, so symbolic and loved by the people; (2) the Museum that treasures, different from the usual sacred art of the churches, with some good gems, as the banner of Sant Blai painted by Sorolla (with included anecdote), Juan de Juanes and some works of goldsmith Cellini tables; (3) but of particular interest is the chapel of the Rosary, already known as the little Sistine Chapel of the Mariola. If one also has the luck that is counted by one of the close and friendly guides who sold us the input, can be a great experience. Ask by Tino, a learned grandfather of the people, who, in addition, paints each year them candles Paschal... an artist.
