The Museum, in addition to exposing model ships and ships themselves, offers to the public of the great videos on the history of the city and a large model of the same. What stands out most is the incredible evolution of Bilbao that was illustrated through photos with great passion from a very helpful guy who works at the Museum. Recommended for families with children: there are many areas with learning games.

  • Excellent in the Bilbao Museum. To learn about the history of the estuary of Bilbao, as well as shipyards and the uses and customs of the sea men. In addition, an exquisite service from the staff. They dealt for content to children (a "pirate" tour with a diploma and a final gift). It is very much worth

Where to stay in Bilbao

Thanks to the Bilbao's safe and newly renovated metro system, all neighborhoods are any easy commute regardless of the city's characteristic rainy weather. The Casco Antiguo, or old quarter, is undoubtedly the heart of the city's and best place for trying the famous "pintxos" or small appetizers. Small boutique hotels and family-owned pensions provide affordable and convenient accommodation for those wishing to get to know this picturesque district. If you prefer a more tranquil experience away from the lively bar culture characteristic of the old quarter you might wish to stay in one of the many hotels that line the beautiful Nervión River leading down from the historical district to the Guggenheim museum.
