Saunter through over 20 hectares (50 acres) of lush gardens at Parque De La Paloma. Located only 200 m (656 ft) from the main coastal highway, the park offers several children’s play areas, a large lake, and many pathways that wind through the beautifully landscaped area. Feed the dozens of geese, ducks, and peacocks that inhabit the park, or bring a picnic to eat while basking in the sun. On Wednesdays, the fruit and vegetable markets are open. • Just great park full of free animals that are fed by visitors and town. Many spots just to sit or lay down. Perfect to relax.
  • Beautiful park with a picturesque lake in it which features a family of turtles, ducks swans etc. Other animals running free round the park. Lovely bar with a nice relaxing seating area to the rear.
  • Visited this Park with my wife and 2.5year old daughter who both loved the place. There is a nice little coffee shop at the entrance. If you look into the pond you will notice alot of turtles which is a nice surprise. The kids playground was in good condition. The slides are made of metal and get extremely hot in the sun so make sure you check them before you allow your child go down the slides (or they'll jump off screaming!). There is a nice little coffee shop beside the playground also. Would definitely recommend visiting this place if you have kids.
  • “A delightful oasis of peace in the centre of Benalmadena” Occasionally I yearn for some peace and solitude away from the noise and bustle of the Costa del Sol. One of the places I head for is Parque de la Paloma in Benalmadena. It is delightful. There is a lake In the middle of the park. It is inhabited by swans, gulls, ducks, mallards and turtles. And, of course, fish. The path around the lake makes a pleasant walk especially for the elderly - or should I say older people than me! There are many paths that criss-cross this attractive park, some with a bit of a gradient but not too steep. Little animals roam freely. These include hens, chickens, roosters, pigeons, sparrows and rabbits. There are also ibex and ostriches but these are penned in. There are a variety of trees, deciduous and evergreen which include eucalyptus, weeping willow, palm and cypress. There is also a cactus garden with other species as well as cactii. Los niños are catered for with a playground and other areas where they can be let loose safely. Some areas of the park are closed to dogs. On my last visit in April 2016, I visited the little cafe near the south-east corner of the park for a beer. And very pleasant it was too. The park is located in the centre of the town only 200 metres from the windmill roundabout on the seafront. I parked nearby without difficulty. Robert Bovington
  • Lovely park to visit, if you enter from the side gates though be prepared to quickly duck your head for the low flying birds. You'll find plenty of wildlife to see here, from the fish, ducks, turtles, swans to chickens & rabbits. Lots of great views over the lake, and out to sea. Lots of quiet places to just chill and relax or even picnic. Segways, bikes etc.. to hire if you feel the need. Cafes and play areas for drinks, food or to entertain the kids. Well worth the visit.
  • Nice park with plenty of open spaces. There are rabbits and chickens roaming as well as peacocks. There's lots of space and shade from the trees, a nice lake and adventure playground too. A good place for a relaxing walk with the kids.
  • Best park I know, great play area for kids, and beautiful animals and scenery. Great coffee too at the kiosk-bar
