Tibidabo, Barcelona

4.4
#1 of 9 in Theme Parks in Province of Barcelona
An amusement park with a 100-year history in Catalonia, Tibidabo is more than just rides. The Sky Walk is 500 m (1,640 ft) of attractions with a city as a backdrop. Strolling the area is free. Each ride charges a fee. If you plan to try out a lot of rides, consider purchasing a ticket that includes all the attractions. An all-day ticket includes old favorites, such as a carousel, a Ferris wheel, and roller coasters, as well as newer attractions. Street performers often line the park's walkway. • A Sunday covered in Barcelona... We decided to spend the day at the tibidabo 20 minutes from Barcelona by car Parking very expensive, € 10 beyond 3 h, and the entrance near €29 per person for the obsolete rides. A lot of waiting for a little sensation. We quickly made the rounds. Disappointing... but the kids still had a good day

  • The actual church on the hill is reasonably interesting and the views are quite impressive, however...... This review is not about the church and view, it is about the transport. Oh yes, a very pretty...  more »
  • Retrace things told by Tags in his books is fantastic ... take the tram Blau and then the funicular. retrace the Cami del Cel ... visit the robot Museum and be back in time. Is priceless ... Don't go away from Barcelona without climbing to Tibidabo!

  • Absolutely beautiful you, it's the Tallest mountain in Barcelona the view is breathtaking. Don't forget to go to the temple of sacred heart. You can see the whole of Barcelona the lift up the top is 3 EUR to the top absolutely worth it. You can use the mytaxi app to get a ride for 14 EUR one way, even cheaper than the tram.
  • A nice place to go to especially if you have children. The view is fantastic. You can take a lift to the top of a monastery for like 5 euros.
  • Its so peaceful and calm place. I will recommend to hike uphill if you can. No noise or polution of traffic. The church downstairs is very detailed and beautiful. one thing I did not like is that creepy emusement park its structure and colors just does not fit into its surrounding.
  • Nice place out of the city with splendid panoramic views...
  • Beautiful location. The view of Barcelona city is amazing from this place.

Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.
