Lovely church in the centre of the city. Garden was lovely and is a nice place to sit if you want a rest from the hustle bustle of the town. The tower is a good climb to the top. Once you get there th... read more »
В первую очередь впечатляет архитектура, хотя от оригинальной церкви, построенной в XVI веке, осталась только дверь.Primarily an impressive architecture, while from the original church, built in the 16th century, there was only a door.show original
When exploring the old town, stopped by rain. I think I no chance to get inside and walk slowly and the Church, hard to notice. Just so much characteristic of the Church, it need not go all the way.show original
Muy bonito lugar. Vale la pena visitar.
Carlos Muñoz MuriedasIn the parish of St. James is located for a time the community of the Lamb, nuns who care for people in need, live in great humility, in fact if we go can inform us of your lifestyle. It is no longer a conventional parish without that it does not want to say not to do these functions or even more... It is a joy to see liturgical celebrations, songs that invite contemplation and cozy Temple. The origin of the Church is a converted Jews of the 14th century finaIes synagogue, still the door. In 1529 it passed into the hands of the order of the Trinitarians which raised the ship closest to the street party in decadent Gothic. In 1819 it extends with the transept and apses, also Gothic. After leaving her Trinitarian becomes a parish and is remodeled by Oriol Mestres. It is a church with a curious elements, for example the altarpiece is the ancient altarpiece of the Cathedral, work of the 15th century, which was transferred to this church in 1970. It has a beautiful chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, it tends to be closed quite a while though. Many saints that attract much are worshipped in this temple, we can see long queues in the days of their naming: San Blas, San Expédito, San Judas Tadeo... Another curiosity is the float representing the Temple of the Sagrada Familia of Gaudi and which is carried in the procession of the Andalusian dew. In this church the brotherhood of our Lady of Sorrows, we can see it in one of the chapels, lately has been restored. Every Friday get around 7 pm. of this church and is followed with enough devotion. In short, highly recommended to visit this church for all the above reasons.show original
