  • Highly recommend this tour - gives a great insight into life in Barcelona during the bombardment of the city from 1937 - 1939. The shelter is very well preserved. Our guide Maria was amazing - engagin...  more »
  • After a few days in Barcelona we were wondering where we could go to learn more about the history of the civil war. There was very little evidence of it in the city as far as we could see (no memorial...  more »

  • Worth visiting! Excellent guide with information and survivors' anecdotes!
  • We had a really fascinating talk from a guide who said she had worked there for 12 years. She was able to give ample information about the construction and use of the shelter, the historical context, and the accounts she had taken from people who had lived during the civil war. This, alongside the walk through the shelter, meant it was a really interesting trip and excellent value for 3.40€. The tour lasted about an hour.
  • Intresting place. Must see if you are close by
  • Interesting bit of Barcelona's history
  • The refuge as such, awesome! the emotions that we live within the refuge is unimaginable to feel what the people who endured the bombings could live. Although what we didn't was the Guide, it brought us nothing, we could not see the audiovisual, the said us that it was intended for the "foreigners", I think that by paying the entrance the visitor has the power to decide whether you see it or not. Nor is it not taught us certain passages of the refuge that could have been interesting at the architectural level. In the panels when they indicated that he could visit in its entirety.
