Rambla del Mar, Barcelona

(4.2/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
A tree-lined promenade through the center of the city, Rambla del Mar bumps with the rhythm of pounding feet all day long. The narrow streets of Barri Gòtic spill into the thoroughfare where Antoni Gaudí, famed Spanish architect, built a handful of buildings. The pedestrian walkway begins at Plaça de Catalunya and ends at the Christopher Columbus Monument, running 1.2 kilometers (0.75 mi) along flat terrain. The wide central walkway is filled with booths selling souvenirs, clothes, books, and even live pets. Keep your belongings close, enjoy the street performers, and stroll down one of Barcelona's most dynamic streets. • The Rambla del Mar is a bridge built from wood and metal at the Yacht Harbour of Barcelona. The Waterfront Road Rambla extension connects the artificial Pier in the middle of the Harbour, where there are among other things a large shopping center and an aquarium. It has prepared us much pleasure to wander this way. The views of the Marina with its countless boats and the various monuments and sculptures that stand on every corner are worth a visit in any case. Unfortunately, many think that and during our visit it was run over here pretty much. Conclusion: Absolutely worth watching, but not a place for those seeking tranquility.
