Rambla del Mar, Barcelona

(4.2/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
A tree-lined promenade through the center of the city, Rambla del Mar bumps with the rhythm of pounding feet all day long. The narrow streets of Barri Gòtic spill into the thoroughfare where Antoni Gaudí, famed Spanish architect, built a handful of buildings. The pedestrian walkway begins at Plaça de Catalunya and ends at the Christopher Columbus Monument, running 1.2 kilometers (0.75 mi) along flat terrain. The wide central walkway is filled with booths selling souvenirs, clothes, books, and even live pets. Keep your belongings close, enjoy the street performers, and stroll down one of Barcelona's most dynamic streets. Put Rambla del Mar on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Barcelona trip itinerary maker.

  • I love this ride that begins after the Rambla and the monument to Columbus. Although not is very extensive, is very nice the Esplanade of wood on the water with those beams with forms undulating, of night fantastically illuminated. Always crowded, I still find spaces to enjoy and watch the sea. To the side there is a marina that makes very nice view. The end is the shopping centre Maremagnum, full of shops and restaurants, also cinemas. There is also a large Esplanade with benches to sit and contemplate. And on the side of the Aquarium. I was in summer and winter, day and night, to enjoy always
