Barcelona's City Beach - many expensive Cafés, bars and clubs. Many tourists and corresponding sellers who want to sell one of the usual junk on the beach

Zur modern Port is an area in which you can easily go for a run or walk in the morning. Not too crowded and enough Space for everyone. Look at the beach and Enjoy the Weather.  more »

The port olimpic, so called because it built for the 1992 Olympics, is a beautiful area not far from the Barceloneta and where some of the city's trendiest disk. The choice of restaurants is difficult because there are several tourist traps but there are also places where drinking a cocktail.

  • Fun, fun, fun! Get your adrenaline fix with on a FlyBoard, JetSki, or just an awesomely fast boat. But if you're not into extreme speed, then casually walk along the promenade, or let a Segway carry you along.
  • Very nice area close to Barceloneta Beach. Lovely place to wander around, plenty to see and do, very busy area with tourists visiting Barcelona and beautiful place to take pictures. Rebuild for 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Port Olimpic is one of Barcelona's attractions.

  • Bracelets expire without previous advance and if you notice in the night, it gets difficult to access your own boat

Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.
