  • ...IM heart of Barcelona. Here, the Aerobusse of the airport, connecting to the Metro and bus network. The sightseeing buses have their stops here as well. Surrounded by historic buildings.

  • huge square in size, people, traffic, though lovely, just a pity that tourists don't keep clean properly, only down fall too many pigeons

  • Lined with major retailers including the Corte Ingles, this place is a kind of tourist center overlooking the ramblas. There are many other places in Barcelona that are more interesting.

  • Another lovely plaza with fountains. Nice place to relax for a minute. DO NOT FEED THE PIGEONS. They will literally be all over you.
  • Two types of city bus tour starts from here for 4 routes. There is fountain gardens, beautiful sculptures and if some likes to feed pigeons there are many. One can also sit in shade and relax. One of the corner has a huge iPhone shopping mall.
  • Nice plaza.. nearby is the magic fountain which cannot be missed. The arena mall overlooking th plaza is nice.. go all the way to the top to enjoy a city view.
  • A large spacious plaza with lots of pigeons. I personally think pigeons are rather unhygienic but if you would like to take pictures with them or have a good view of the city of Barcelona. This can be a stopover place during your visit.
  • You can feed a lot of pigeons here. They are not scared of anything. they will eat out of your hand

Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.
