  • We had an excellent day. In the morning to swim in the Olympic pool, then food in the restaurant, at a great price, then relax on the sun loungers, shaded. And then kind of fitness very well directed by Yolanda instructor, and finally again pool, jacuzzi and sauna

  • It's the old Olympic outdoor pool. Fab. Lunch in restaurant, 3 course, glass of beer and a coffee €9. Wonderful experience and not a Brit in sight xx  more »
  • If Mordor pools without a doubt... the picornell would be in its current state. Deplorable state in which these facilities. Neglected, dirty, old, full of graffiti. Outdoor swimming pool open in the summer water has a strange smell, chlorine is not... It is another thing that I do not want or know. Hairs float pool by which Savage seaweed. Not to mention... the variety of fauna that comes together in this place... a mix of tourists, kanis, chonis... all the crem crem of the bajuno of appointment is given in this gated crowding the place. Run fools!

  • Impressive pool, chlorine based and sadly around the open pool the building covers the view. There's an inside pool so it's ideal for training and getting away from tourists. The lido up the road (Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc) is much better because it has the views and not full of chlorine. Tip: take a lock for the lockers 🔐
  • Though the pools themselves are fine, one of them was closed for no apparent reason and the other is often occupied by noisy crowds impeding a quite afternoon, with nobody in charge taking action. Some of the personnel at the entrance is less friendly than desirable. Furthermore, even if this is a public place, the price is still around 12 € for adults.
  • So pity thise swimpools are open only for 1,5 months in year — great place to swim!
  • get away from the tourism in this nice pool, and outdoor section (summer only). make sure to bring a padlock and swim cap.
  • I got up early and ran to this pool, 10km. I had packed €10 into my bag as I thought that would be sufficient... Public swim costs €11.85... The gentleman at desk seemed to take pleasure in repeating price and refusing entry... A thoroughly frustrating start to the day, run was good though!!!

Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.
