    First of all is relief on the front wall of very beautiful. Besides, with a green tiled roof tiny window ones with some riding. It is this unique and good feeling.

    Not the most ornate church you will see, but that is part of its peaceful charm. Located just off La Rambla this is a no entry fee stop worth 15 to 30 minutes of time. The main church is simplistic an...  more »

  • Mass is celebrated Mon-Fri at 8am, 11am, 1.15pm & 8pm; Sat, 8am, 9am, 11am, 1.15pm & 8.15pm; Sun, 9.30am, 11am, midday, 1pm, 7pm & 8.15pm. Mass is said in Catalan except for at 11am on weekdays and Sundays at 11am, 1pm & 8.15pm when it is said in Spanish.
  • The Church of Bethlehem is a Baroque church located in the Rambla of Barcelona. It was the Church of the Jesuits until their expulsion from Spain in 1767, and had formed the core of a set of buildings in this order. Is built on the same site as an earlier Church of the 1553 burned in 1671. Designed by Joseph Julius and directed by Jesuit father Tort and Dídac of Lacarse, the first stone was blessed by the Bishop of Barcelona, Alfonso de Sotomayor the 1681 [1] it was built between 1680 and 1729, although their interior decoration lasted until 1855. The Church of Bethlehem hosted the Seminario Conciliar de Barcelona, then known as the seminary in Bethlehem, between the years 1878 and 1772.
