  • An amazing Park. I was always too lazy to go the distance, but the metro to the side and it's a beautiful park to visit. On Sundays is free, other days 2.30 per person

  • Very nice garden for relaxing. Steep place, you will have to climb to get there! A few tourists (especially french) you won't be any similarly alone. Ideal for photos.

  • What a nice place where to walk away from the bustle of the city. The setting is welcoming and refreshing in the summer in the shade of Oaks and pines all with the Mediterranean fragrance of these trees. Throughout the ride and the detour of small nooks you can admire the small fountains and statues. The maze is friendly and you spend a nice time with the children even if it is small enough. A little corner of paradise, well served by the metro including but once out of the station, it is better to have his GPS! To do it without hesitation

  • We loved this park! If you are a tourist but tired of the crowds and hoards of other tourists at every destination in the city, this park is for you. Sundays and Wednesdays are free too! The park is beautiful and has lots of working water features (rare here). We went Wednesday afternoon and almost had the place to ourselves, only saw about 20 people in about an hour. The maze was fun too, very challenging! It's pretty far to walk from the city, I recommend a cab ride (about 24 euro from the Gothic district). Stop reading this review and catch a cab to this awesome park!
  • Peaceful place to spend an afternoon and worry less about pickpockets. Good place for kids too as the maze will keep them occupied. Always seem to be one or more commercial photographers working with clients here...its photogenic.
  • Okay the maze was a bit disappointing. Other than that, it's a nice park and not too expensive for what you get. It's nice to get away from a city like that, within the city. I don't regret going here but we didn't stay very long (45 mins total I guess).
  • I took my kids up here and we had a ball. Not a big labrynth by any stretch of the imagination, but it was enough to have an ejoyable afternoon. Also, enjoyed seeing the other buildings in the park, it was scenic and peaceful.
  • Worth the short trek out of the city center. Very serene spot for a mental escape, daytime date, or studying in the park (City Wi-Fi). Lots of groundskeepers but it's still could use a touch up to be deemed pristine.

Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.
