  • Just right in front of the Centro comercial Las Arenas in Plaza España. A place to go with kids. There is also a municipal library and a dog park. It is always crowded by locals. Nice spot to take a p...  more »
  • Horrible already, you can not really call it a park, the ground is sandy earth, no grass where to sit. Fortunately the trees make shade in some places for to sit on the bench but that's all. Then we ate there with a girlfriend and we surprised 2 Exhibitionists. Time very annoying. Park adapted to walk his dog but no more

  • Park as a park. There is nothing outstanding. Not for compulsory attendance. Visiting, watched, we pass on. As local.

  • Really great spot. One of my favorite park at Barcelona for a lot of reasons. You can take a good walk (romantic) or sport in the morning (you're not gonna be alone, people are stretching, running... all around) or playing with your kids with specific game for them. They are also soccer and basketball ground cover against raining.
  • Very good park not only for young kids & teens but adults too.Big park with separate play area where little kids can play with sand, slides, swing, ride bike, & have those little fun. Big swings & slides & other play activities are there for little big kids too. We have seen teens playing basketball, Adults running & working out, People walking their dogs. Park is near to plaza espanya & rocafort train station. Venetian towers & magic fountain are with in walkable distance from this park. Just across the park Arena Mall is there. From the terrace of the mall, you can have great views of barcelona.
  • OK. So there's no grass here to lay on (But that's hard to come by in Barcelona.) Still, I love how people run around the park, play with their dogs, paint, sit, have a drink, feed the birds or dance salsa. Close to Plaza Espanya. I make this park part of my normal run through the neighborhood.
  • Lovely place for a romantic walk and a picnic with your loved one. The cable cars up to the castle might be a bit expensive, but worth it. We got a one way tacket up, then slowly walked down through the park and had a wonderful picnic near the fountain...
  • Lovely park with playground and sport grounds. Locals come here to walk their dogs, kids running around and plenty of benches to sit down and have a rest.

Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.
