  • Built in 1906, this handsome house is by Josep Puig i Cadafalch. The intricate, sculptured frieze above the first-floor windows has close affinities to early Renaissance Plateresque style.  more »

  • This is a strange building in that, like Casa Comalat in the same street, has two totally different styled facades. The one on the Diagonal avenue is in Gothic style with turrets and long windows and balconies. The other one, facing Rosselló street is reminiscent of the art nouveau style that was so popular in Barcelona at the beginnings of the 20th century.
  • When viewed from the Avinguda Diagonal, the building is reminiscent of North-European palaces, with an intricately carved neo-plateresque style which highlights the noble character of the building. Here, the long, ornate balcony, with its busts of eminent medieval and Renaissance figures, floral motifs and heraldic shields, and the mansards on the upper floor, are fully in keeping with the medieval European style.
  • Another building with the uniquely Gaudi signature architecture. I didn't enter because it was closed.
  • Amazing modernist architecture!
  • Modest in size, but the outstanding visual home of Baron Cuadras is one of the pearls of Catalan modernism of the hand of Puig-and-Cadasfalka. The Uniqueness of this manor is that it is two-sided. The Head façade overlooks the lively Avenue Diagonal, and the opposite to the neighboring street-Roseyo. The Meter designed the reconstruction of the building in its style. The Head façade gotichen in its representation with references to Norman Gothic. In sculptural design There are mythological and natural motives-gargoyles are especially impressive. The interior of the palace lobby deserves special attention. Yes, you can go inside. The Wide marble staircase is simply chic. So Much space that even the fountain fit. It is Amazing how people at that time sacrificed the inner space on a seemingly ordinary staircase, the purpose of which is simply to deliver the tenant to the floor above:)
