  • On Sunday it's free then fire we enjoy. Eccentric but well served by the metro building is stunning. Collections are a little too sharp at times for children but in general everyone is benefiting. We liked the minerals and the history of the Earth. Great temporary exhibition on dinosaurs.

  • One of the best museums of SN visited, definitely large and rich, with a path and a modern presentation but not confused and confusing. Many animals are well preserved and prepared besides large sections on minerals, fungi, evolution ... I looked at the temporary exhibition on the Spinosaurus, really well done and full of dinosaur models. It also costs very little.

  • Being off the beaten tourist center of Barcelona, you have to go there on purpose, but definitely worth it, because taking the combined ticket with the Botanical Garden (located somewhere else, in Montjuic), really costs. It is a very interactive museum, to visit several times because very large with an excellent collection that includes fossils, minerals, stuffed animals, fungi, plants ... for children, especially, must be gorgeous to go there during the study of the sciences, so as to make concrete and nice what is otherwise only written paper. I saw also the temporary exhibition of National Geographic on the Spinosaurus. The ticket you have to pay for it and actually costs a little more, but it was well worth it, brought me little girl for half an hour.

  • A museum pack filled with information about the origin of our planet earth. Evolution, geology and general information. A great museum to bring your children as well. There are so many things to do and see. Hundreds of not thousands of species on display. Minerals, fossils etc. So jam packed that no one will get bored inside, and not too big so you get tired from walking. Lots of interactive displays for children to play with and enough reading material to spend hours just reading. Entry is cheap enough even if you spend just an hour or two there, you'll feel saturated with information. Taking pictures is allowed without flash. There is a commercial centre just across the street where parking is free for 3 hours.
  • Best museum in Barcelona. So cheap only €5 for adult and kids free. Fantastic for kids. Interactive touch screens.
  • In short words - very, very nice and quite large exposition. Stuffed animals, fossils, minerals in large numbers. And of course, history of Earth and many other things. Evertything presented in simple for everobody way. We spend there 2,5 hours. Worth visiting.
  • Absolutely amazing, one of the best museums I have visited in my life. I and three friends of mine spent over 6.5 hours in there and were pretty amazed by a lot of things. Would have paid ten times the amount we were required to pay. Clear recommendation!
  • Beautiful architecture, surreal building. Even the kids enjoyed the outside space. More suitable for older kids though because information is a bit dry and not interactive enough. Only concern is that one of guards got annoyed with children running, being loud calling them crazy. They are kids after all, and either way it's not a nice thing to say

Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.
