  • If one has a limited time.. at least to visit this place as it embodies the past and present history of Barcelona. The building itself is worth going.
  • Nice place to visit if you like history. There is 2 or 3 different floors which are every from different ages. On the 3 floor there is nice bar/restaurant with very beautiful view and good drinks.
  • Interactive museum on the history of Catalunya. It favors a certain perspective but is very informative and interesting. There's also a good restaurant with beautiful views of the harbor and old town on the top.
  • I had an incredible experience at this museum. The first day I went in I asked the lady at the front desk about how much time was needed to fully appreciate the museum. She said three hours, and since I didn't have enough time I resolved to come in the next day. She recognized me from the day before and gave me free admission so that's five stars right there. But then the exhibits were so captivating that I wish I could have stayed the entire day! Interactive prices, 3D models and dioramas, and a comprehensive history of the region, spanning from prehistory to modern day made this one of my favorite stops so far. It is a good place to avoid the crowds too. The temporary exhibition about 20th century photographer, Francesc Boix was very cool as well. Visit this museum if you want to be informed about the very important distinctions about what sets Catalonia apart as a culture and a nation from the rest of Spain.
  • It is a nice place to start off your visit in Barcelona. The entrance fee is cheap. Do not spend a lot of time in the 2nd floor (where they show you very old events) but spend tge majority of your time on the next floor where they talk about the relavent histoty of Catalonia.
  • It definitely worth's a visit ! It shows how Catalonia evolved on the map throughout the years . Starts from the Roman empire at 1st century BC and Augousto , it continues with the Visigoths in approx 400 ac and the defeat of Romans. Continues with the Crown Aragon in 1300-1400. Continues with Phillip V a Spanish monarch who takes Catalonia approx in 1700 and goes all the way up to the civil war in 1939 and the upraise of Francisco Franco fascism. It is a museum not mentioned in the tour guides however it was an amazing visit.
