  • Maybe it’s just due to COVID, but this was a pointless excursion. The cable car to the castle was far too expensive for the ride (€13.50 per person, round trip). Also, everything except 3 very small.....  more »
  • It has nice views and surroundings, but do not eat at their cafe because we got food poisoned badly from their seafood paella. If you must eat, just eat their commercially-packaged foods! I recommend....  more »
  • We decided to take the walk up instead of taking the cable car or taxi. Tried after walk. Got to the castle at 5.35pm. Unfortauntely it was winter opening times and the castle closed at 5.30pm that...  more »
  • Unfortunately the cable cars to the castle were not open due to high winds :( , which was a little disappointing as I am sure this would have added to enormously to our visit, but the castle itself is magnificent and reading the well listed out information boards really gave you a details insight into the significance of this monument to the history of Catalonia and Spain. Well worth a visit during any visits to Barcelona.
  • Beautiful place to view the sunset. Entry fee is very cheap. There is a cafe inside . The place was a fortress formerly. One side you can view the whole wide coast and the other the city view. Highly recommended, evenings after 6 would be a better bet.
  • Historical landmark, nice for max 1 hour visit I would say. Interesting views to port. Cafe with variety of snacks is there, toilet. 7 euro combo ticket with botanical garden - be ready to walk to garden for around 25 min down - good views and nature. Garden itself not very well maintained.
  • Great views of the city and sea. Not much to do or see inside the castle otherwise. If you have a lot of time visiting Barcelona I’d say it’s worth it (not too expensive, fun views), but if crunched for time it’s one you could skip. The employees there were helpful and kind and I liked that they wore name tags that indicated what languages they spoke. I walked up, which took some time too, but the walk down was pleasant!
  • A spectacular showpiece in Barcelona, highly worth of an evening visit when the musical fountains are on. In other places they may charge £10 for even being there but credit to Catalonians for building and maintaining this fantastic attraction. A 10 minute walk up from this is a mini Spain village which shows the different landscapes, and architectural styles of the country in one short walk. One of the many things that make Barcelona special.
