  • You can easily reach by taking the funicular that leaves from the Metro. It costs 8 euros one way and we recommend that you only want to do this because the return walk. The castle is nice but nothing to fancy instead the view and enviable from anywhere you look is an outstanding show and of course you should go on a day not with rain.

  • The castle buildings aren't that spectacular, but the views of the city and nearby harbor make up for it. Definitely worth the 5 euros entry fee (3 euros for under 30) for the views alone. The cable c...  more »
  • I recommend to take the lift to the castle, much more enjoyable trip and it has spectacular views of the city. The castle also overlooks the harbor. A nice place to walk.

  • Enjoyed exploring this place very much! Spectacular view of the city. So many lovely wildflowers grow on top of the mountain, that alone was worth the trek for me. :)
  • Such an incredible space and a great view of Palma. Bring your running shoes if you plan on hiking up to the church, there are a lot of steps. Cost for the castle was four euros. Great reception area, with bathrooms and a place to grab a drink.
  • This is a must see. The view of Barcelona from the castle is amazing on a clear day. And you will need atleast 3-4 hours to enjoy the castle as there is a lot of walking around. If you are taking the cab make sure it takes you to the entry gate and not drop you off at the bottom. Its steep hike to the top gate. There are local busses that can take you down the mountain. There are not much lineup here so you should have no problem getting in.
  • Wonderful views of Barcelona from this point - the guided tour is recommended, as it is quite insightful and it gives a detailed account of the history and of the actual castle. Plus you get access to the highest tour, which is not included in the regular visit. If you're under 30, you get discounted entry!
  • Amazing view first from the funicular and then from the top of the castle for the whole Barcelona. The only thing I didn't like is that the funicular tickets are very expensive and later you have to also pay for enter to the castle... But it is really worth to go upstairs and buy tickets!
