  • Unfortunately, the market was closed for renovation but it looks impressive from the outside, especially the architecture and the style. Worth to visit when it will open on October 2017.  more »

  • Tent of the fresh market of San Antonio. Good fresh food shops. This tent was now open eight years ago, in the meantime are the works of restoration of the old market of the 19th century. Parece that eventually turn into the spring of 2018 will be inaugurado.

  • They carried years in works, it is not known exactly what to do or what intend to do here, but this step will remain in the memory of many all stops that opened up of clothes, CDs, books, video games etc... It was the ideal place to wonder on Sunday and get a couple of things cool home. I hope to open it with the same objective that had once again.

  • Finally with the works and speculation, are loaded one of the few endearing things remaining in Barcelona, with clothes, green awnings, external stops the smell of market inside, the scale Centennial... etc... a missing market which only remains in the memories of some... the same as the Av de llum, or the original boqueria... a true penalty they dispossess these States the city of its authentic flavor by a handful of speculators and translucent interests...

Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.
