Mercat de la Barceloneta, Barcelona

(4.3/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web)
Soak up some Barcelona culture by diving into the atmosphere of Mercat de la Barceloneta, a huge draw for both impassioned foodies and architecture enthusiasts. The market occupies a modern building constructed of glass and steel and serves as a major landmark in one of Barcelona's most colorful neighborhoods. Inside is the usual setup of vegetable and meat stalls, as well as several sit-down eateries where you can rest and grab a warm meal. Although safe and friendly, the market gets extremely busy during lunchtime, so it's a good idea to leave your personal items at the hotel. • We are used to the markets of the country and city that we visit to meet with local products and Barcelona impressed me. It is diverse and colorful photos lovers can indulge themselves. One of the most beautiful market in the world! an explosion of color! a mad world, Yes, it's true, but fish eggs and spices, you will not find more beautiful stand elsewhere, do not miss. Eat some tapas one buttock on a stool and must taste one of many fresh juices (1 to 2euros juice, Ditto for a fruit salad). Everything is done for the tourist: selling skewers of chocolate, cones of ham iberico pecking at walking, small baskets of fruit, all at low price

  • A typical central market as the Florence, expected it to be larger than it really is; fresh products are very attractive and colorful, in addition to sweeten the atmosphere. Disillusionment with products made especially sweets, cheaper in the C... English, which is the same. To walk and enjoy a time of passage through the Rambla.

  • If you're ok with intense smells of meat and fish accompanied by large crowds, this market is worth seeing. The best part is the vibrant colors of the fruit stalls.  more »
