  • Market of antiques in the heart of the city. Front of the Cathedral. Very picturesque. You can find all kinds of antiques, jewelry, silver, small objects of collection, etc... all kinds of references. Good prices if you know to look. Very nice and serious treatment. Do it every Thursday and every time do fairs several days or a week. Totally recommended. Very central and well connected. I've been several times and I repeat whenever you have time.

  • The Mercado Gótico de Barcelona stands directly in front of the Cathedral in the heart of the historical center of Barcelona. Ultimately, it is a flea market with more or less genuine antiques and a lot of junk, no one really needs. We are thrown once through the corridors, but saw enough after a very short time and then continued. Conclusion: Suitable only for flea market and flea market friends.

  • During the period when I was there there was some twenty stalls, a flea market as those that can be found here in Italy, old coins, postcards, paintings, Crystal objects, trinkets, some local craftsman. He's cute but has special features that distinguish it, is popular because it is located opposite the Cathedral in the piazza towards the Gothic quarter.

Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.
