  • Is practically on Las Ramblas, just above the Liceu Theatre going towards Piazza Catalunya. It is one of the typical markets of Barcelona, opened virtually all day until 20. We went there early in the morning, and managed to turn nimbly without too much crowding. The spectacle of colors, flavors and variety of food is unique! I tasted a fruit salad to 1 euro, and I wanted to also try one of the many colorful smoothies to many tastes. It is also possible to sit to eat something, and you can find every kind of fruit spice and chocolate. Not to be missed.

  • Many stores told the market hours start at 8 in, from that time to prepare, a piece of repartee. It might be good to visit 9:30.

  • This was the first place we went in Barcelona after getting off the plane. It was hopping with people and the food stalls were amazing, got to try a little bit of everything. Had our kids with us and ...  more »

  • Go on Sundays for the second - hand street market in three streets around it: books, posters, comics, video games, cards... It's nice to see people of all ages exchanging cards in the corner! There also is the beautiful historical market but it's being renovated right now and need to wait until 2017 for it to be reopen and visit it with the addition of a bottom floor. Temporary shops host the traditional market stalls at the moment.
  • A huge market place. Not yet habitated as of October 2016 but it looks like it is going to be a good competition to the Boqueria market
  • A very nice building. Looking forward to see it finished and functional
  • Great market. Great fresh products. Cheaper than other markets around town.
  • Beautifully by has been closed for years for reconstruction!! Seems to be taking forever!
