  • We had looked at the reviews that were very mixed before leaving but finally we decided to try it! First thing the building alone is worth already the visit even if you don't go inside, a sacred mixture of forms and details with very modern materials, there are even of works outdoors: sculpture La Ola de Jorge Oteiza and a fresco of Keith Haring. Then once inside he is a very calm and soothing atmosphere, the place is very bright thanks to large openings and the white walls and in addition very little traffic the day where we go. Very nice on this point. Plus the student tour price is interesting! At the level of the expos, it's modern art so it is better not to formalize a bit too closed definition of art (laughs). We liked certain parts and others less, it's like the tastes and colors... The Organization of the room is friendly 4 levels with lots of nooks and passages. To conclude, I don't think that this is a 'must' in Barcelona, but this is to be done if like us you already know Barcelona and you want to discover new places.

  • He MACBA little has that envy to them museums of their gender in others cities European, although perhaps even you are missing a bit of "filming". Besides the magnificent and comfortable building that it houses, go their rooms (especially, now, them of its exhibition permanent) approaches to a reality artistic that, course, not is to the scope of who not appreciate it evolution and it experimentation in this discipline (of there so much people disappointed that leaves their reviews, although someone confesses not "understand" that art: if not like the art contemporary not worth it penalty lose the time going to this Museum). At this time not seen anything really spectacular, but what looks good is worth the visit stopped (worth, also sit down to one of the many monitors, put on the headphones, see and hear, but if don't understand English, Spanish and catalan ever, is little valued images). The entry price is not prohibitive: 10 euros and is valid for a whole month. Retirees pay nothing. I recommend to those who appreciate that, avant-garde art, innovative, experimental, although sometimes not understood. There is the possibility of visiting the Museum with guide, which can help much to them profane in the matter.

  • A wonderful experience for those who like modern art. The mos exciting exhibit was the showing of 100 years of photos: i.e. 101 people were photographed at ages from 10 months, 1 year, 2 years,... til...  more »

  • Loved the modern building and even though only one floor was open when I was there, I was impressed by what I saw. Will have to come back here

T he sculptures will be in metal, stone and in concrete for everlasting in the road sides, parks, beaches and in courtyards in Spain. The expenditure of the creations and installations can meet in several inexpensive method .Expecting any ones big help for this attempt. • Right next to the CCCA, this is by far the best art gallery in Barcelona, cool, quieter than the obvious Picasso/Miro. Do use the lifts as the ramps just add milage to aching feet.
  • One floor of exhibits. Unoriginal exhibits. Great place to buy your ArticketBCN as no one should ever come here to see the collection.
  • One of the only museums open on a Monday in Barcelona. Warning: the current exhibit (Andrea Fraser downstairs, punk rock up) is very loud. Interesting stuff, but not a whole lot of bang for your ten euros.
