La Sureña Maremagnum, Barcelona

3.3
For shopping, dining, and entertainment, head to La Sureña Maremagnum. Set right next to the sea, this mall offers fantastic views. For the best vistas, head to the top floor where you can enjoy a meal at one of many restaurants overlooking the water. The lower floors are filled with shops of all kinds. You’ll even find an IMAX cinema and an aquarium. Just outside is a huge play area for children. Plan my trip to Barcelona with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.

  • We stayed at the maremagnum in August, good shopping mall with the Barcelona shop to see.

  • This Mall offers only brands that are present everywhere... The restaurant on the top floor part is today half deserted... The only interest is to make the ride between the surprising "Rambla de Mar" and the Mirador del Port Vell (where beautiful yachts are moored).

  • Worst restaurent in Barcelona. Aweful food. Tasted bad. We ordered paella. Came an old rice plate which was a joke. Never come there for food. Zero stars if possible.
  • Don't waste money in any food here: it is just horrible. Good for drinks. It is a franchise.
  • Absolutely delicious food in a pleasant location. We ordered a large number of tapas dishes which were prepared quickly. The fast-food-style system of calling out names when food is ready is unusual for a tapas bar but works well. Were it not for a few plates of calamari that never turned up I would give this restaurant five stars.
  • Very tasty tapas at good prices. Good size portions.
  • Great location, proper dishes. A bit pricy, but everything is in the location.

Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.
