  • La Manual Alpargatera is THE place to buy hand sewn espadrilles in Barcelona. If they don't have your size or color, they can make them within an hour. The ladies who work in the store are very helpfu...  more »
  • I was in Barcelona for pleasure and I tried a store where you can buy typical espadrilles spagnole...in this store I found just what I was looking for! Handmade espadrilles have all colors, patterns and budgets! The saleswoman dear, talented and likeable has been able to meet all of my requests, I bought 2 pairs. I think it's a must see if you go to visit this beautiful city!

  • Lovely store, it is true that in summer there are pending, but worth it, some models make it to you at the time!

  • A great place to get authentic espadrilles, a great souvenir from Barcelona. However the wait will be long. Make sure you get a number first thing when you walk in, and if you decide not to get anything just give it back.
  • I went the other day and bought two pairs of shoes and am going back today for more. I got my number at the counter and I thought the service was pleasant. Lots of Americans in there. I would just advise that you have a general idea if what you want when you go in. They're really busy and will provide personal service, but you should put forth effort to be a good customer as well.
  • The shoes were cute and reasonably priced, but the staff (owners?) were RUDE. I went into the shop twice to attempt to buy a pair of espadrilles. There are signs directing customers to ask a cashier for a number in order to get assistance. No problem...I didn't mind waiting. However, they wouldn't acknowledge my presence when I waited politely at the counter. Finally, I caught the eye of the woman and asked if I could please have a number. She said, "No. There are too many people in here." Um. Okay. There were about 7-8 people in the shop, in three family groups. Isn't that the point of taking a number?? I left and went to the shop a few doors down, where I found two cute pairs of shoes and had great service.
  • Historic place...go here to get your espadrilles.
  • Best selection and service in Spain.
