Spend time relaxing on the sandy expanse of La Barceloneta. This bustling beach is a favorite among tourists and locals alike, famed for its fiesta atmosphere. Build a sandcastle, dip your toes in the Mediterranean Sea, or sunbathe. If you’re feeling active, join in a game of beach volleyball or table tennis. Look for the modern art on display: the “Homenatge a la Barceloneta” monument and “Peix d’Or” sculptures. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, sample the catch of the day at one of many seafood restaurants located on the boardwalk. • It would be a Beach much better if it were not so jam-packed with people, of all forms is worth the visit.

  • From the city of Barcelona's Beach within walking distance. Warm sunshine of winters was good, was good. I would be more crowded in the summer. This is the area near the restaurant, such as paella and laid-back.

  • As I went in winter will speak as it is go to the Barceloneta in this season: NO SE LO PIERDAN! The place is beautiful and although it is not to get in the water you can enjoy the waterfront, walk along the docks, eat and drink rich in the bars that are very close to the coast, walk along the sand, feel the noise of the waves. It's a beautiful walk to a bus in the center of barcelona, and take advantage of little people that's out there for not being season. If you love the sea as I do not miss it!

  • Very nice place, but also very pricey. Service was good, but somewhat slow. Food was great. Was very busy and very loud when we were there, hard to hold a conversation without yelling. Many steps to get up to dining area, this may concern some less able people. Overall a good dinner.
  • Great place. Tasty and among best places for fresh seafood. A must visit if you are in the city.
  • Great food service and location, a bit pricey as expected.
  • Foreigners, or perhaps single women, not welcome here. I was in Barcelona a few days ago (by circumstance, alone) and wanted to try some real authentic paella. I went around 21:30 and was greeted by a surley hostess. Now I don't speak much Spanish--but I do speak Italian. This means that although I can only speak a few phrases in Spanish, I can understand almost everything. The hostess apparently thought I could neither speak nor understand her. The hostess called upstairs, told them yes just one, asked about whether the waiter would be separating one of the bigger tables and then goes (in Spanish--or maybe Catalan I can't tell) "it's only one person, doesn't matter if it's by the window." I thought to myself, ok, maybe I would like to sit by the window? (In Spanish) "Ok, I send her to you." The hostess hung up, and then proceeded to mindlessly edit the reservations book. Did not even look up or speak to me. She whited out one square, then made some straight lines in the book. Nothing relevant to marking anything down related to my being seated. Finally the waiter upstairs called down (in Spanish) "are you sending her or not?" Only then was I permitted up. The waiter proceeded to seat me basically almost in the kitchen. Literally right in front of the counter where the waiters picked up all the orders. Only about a meter away was a beautiful table (for four) by the window. I was extremely uncomfortable in the middle of the main thorough fare, and asked if I could be moved to the window. I was told no because that table was set four. I pointed out that the restaurant was not full. I was told (condescendingly) this was because in Spain people eat later, and that they would need that table for bigger parties. I understand all this, but point out that according to Google this was the peak busiest time. There was no one waiting in the lobby downstairs, and several tables seemed almost finished and would be departing soon. The restaurant would not be full that night. Also, they could have just separated the table set for 4 and made it smaller. I ended up declining the table assigned to me and walking out. On my way out I saw at least 4 or 5 empty tables, all better situated than the one they had tried to stick me in. A real shame because all I wanted was to get to know the real Barcelona. Instead I felt extremely unwelcome.
  • Terrible experience. Overcooked super DRY paella, burned, very little amount of seafood in it. Bad service for tourists. DONT DRINK THEIR SANGRIa- pure chemicals. Only good thing is the terrace and the view over the boats.
