Spend time relaxing on the sandy expanse of La Barceloneta. This bustling beach is a favorite among tourists and locals alike, famed for its fiesta atmosphere. Build a sandcastle, dip your toes in the Mediterranean Sea, or sunbathe. If you’re feeling active, join in a game of beach volleyball or table tennis. Look for the modern art on display: the “Homenatge a la Barceloneta” monument and “Peix d’Or” sculptures. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, sample the catch of the day at one of many seafood restaurants located on the boardwalk. • The beach is easy to get to, approx. 20 min walk from the center. Very calm and quiet in the morning but gets extremely busy and very hot in the afternoon. The beach is sandy and you have to walk down...  more »
  • Enjoyed the beach , it was a hot June day but under a umbrella there was always a cool breeze. Get the massage if the girls happen by and expect a few girls to be topless which seemed to be the norm  more »
  • My girlfriend and I came to this beach a few times. When we were there from 10am-1:30 pm the beach was not to busy. We went back a day later at 4:30pm and the beach was packed. The beach itself is kin...  more »

  • Wish I could give this one 3.5 stars. It was the second time we have been here. The food was as good as I remember but I think the place was having an off-day. Wrong items delivered to the table and the servers didn't seem to have the charm I remember. Can't go wrong with the grilled fish or paella though. Beautiful views of the yachts in the marina.
  • Great place to eat after beach time and somany to see like the famous aquarium barcelona , mare magnum shopping mall , sea port and Barceloneta beach
  • Not worth it. Plenty of other places that are great quality and tastier. We had the Paella on recommendation from a friend. The rice wasn't cooked properly and there was one prawn in the whole dish with a few pieces of calamari and next to no seafood. The bread and olives we had to start were delicious and it stopped there. The waiter was very irritating. We ordered a glass of wine and then before we knew it he was back asking what bottle of wine we wanted. We hadn't even looked at the menu! Then when we asked for the bill that took about 20 mins. Don't go there if you are hungry!
  • Quite chic restaurant indeed but with really high quality dishes. Try the Carpaccio de pulpo which is extraordinary. Prices are above the average but the service is above average as well.
  • The ambiance was very nice. The service was attentive but not that friendly. The food was mostly good.
