  • Modern sculpture by Frank Gehry, made on the occasion of the Olympic Games in 1992 (as are all the Remaking of the neighborhood in which it is located) and in harmony with the architecture around, they too modern. Prominent element of the urban landscape of the Olympic village, is also visible from the waterfront in Barceloneta. And perhaps it is most beautiful from afar that closely. Once you get below it is possible to admire a huge wire mesh which, depending on the altitude of the Sun, takes a more or less golden tint, supported by scaffolding bianca: do not recognize even distinguish well the shape of fish or whale, if you prefer. Get here driven by the desire of my daughter (architect) to see this work, she too was disappointed. But maybe they were only the ns/expectations to be too high; at the bottom of who am I to judge a work of a great architect, a work that is one of the symbols of modern Barcelona.

  • The waterfront is very accessible in a wheelchair. Sidewalks are wide and smooth. Hard passages are built on the beach to roll easily. The sculpture of the gold fish is more beautiful from a distance than close where we see more than the frame when you approach. The Olympic port need not a detour, especially even if the environment is quite pleasant.

  • Frank Gehry has the Golden fish in 1992 to the summer Olympics (Note: not for the Olympic Games) made in Barcelona, and since then, the sculpture is visible at the foot of a high-rise building on the Olympic port. Best to get here with the Metro (station of the Olympic village) and admired the steel sculpture radiant in the Sun. The fish is 35 x 54 meters long and overlooking the sea. He is a wonderful conclusion of the new seafront promenade, which gave the city of Barcelona.
