While walking after dinner I happened to see this gallery that caught my eye. I don't know who are the works but worth spending 10 minutes admiring this gem furnished with much taste and enjoy the small squares depicting typical places of Barcelona. Great taste in background music that never hurts. Congratulations indeed.

What a joy to have stumbled into this gallery. His artwork captures the essence of Barcelona in the details of his photography and in the uniqueness of his craft. We ended up purchasing 3 of the small...  more »

  • Accessible, unique, fun, whimsical art. I stumbled upon this place yesterday. I had walked through this neighborhood many times and never seen it. What I love most is that the art is presented very professionally but it feels accessible. Listen, most people here cannot afford 300-3000euro art. Its just a fat of the economy and how people live in general. So to stumble upon a place where the art is more than just posters of famous scenes or reprints and see that large scale art is mostly under 100euros per piece is really exciting and cool. Im definitely coming back here in a few months to purchase some large scale art.
  • Funky art shop with lots of unique handmade mixed media collages, as well as paintings of all sizes. The walls are lined with interesting vignettes of Barcelona streets and corners, as well as historic sites. They also sell funky vintage toys and memorabilia. A great place to go for a take-home gift or souvenirs for friends and family. Affordable and beautiful art! There are two shops on the same street, in case you don't find what you love at the first.
  • Nice gallery I sow something didn't seen in my world some thing new and amazing
  • Very cool place!I like it !And good service too
  • Galeria Maxo makes very nice artwork, particularly of the beautiful alleyways of Barcelona and of the many fantastic restaurants, galleries, and points of interest. They have very nice customer service and were most accommodating to our requests. I definitely recommend visiting their stores.

Where to stay in Barcelona

Because the city's metro system makes traveling from area to area relatively painless, you have more flexibility in choosing a place to stay. Barceloneta, the neighborhood surrounding the city beach is somewhat removed from the city center, making its hotels popular with families. Only a 15-minute walk from the center, Barceloneta has a more laid-back beach atmosphere but still offers several restaurants and entertainment options. Farther away from the beach and closer to the city center, El Born is a charming neighborhood well-known for its restaurants and lively bar scene. Eixample is also popular as it is more central and home to some of the city's best shopping and tourist sites, including La Sagrada Familia. For a more traditional experience, consider staying in the Gothic Quarter, the heart of Old Barcelona. This picturesque neighborhood boasts a tight network of historical architecture with boutique hotels and traditional restaurants.
